manifesto
the three of us have lived in cleveland for years, including the time in our 20s and 30s when many people leave for what they think will be better places. through a little extra effort, we discovered that this is an exciting, diverse, friendly, and affordable city that truly offers something for everyone.
that said, kim and penny and jessie will be investing travel dollars in our hometown that are normally spent to visit manhattan for 3 days in december. this is based on the presumption that we can enjoy the same activities in greater cleveland, at a fraction of the cost, and enjoy exploring new corners that are unturned.
follow us as we attempt to prove ourselves correct.
the plan for the grrrrl’s weekend must include:
- culture: art, music, theater
- cuisine: sushi, modern, dim sum, massive desserts
- outdoors: lake, public art, walking
- shopping: local, original, affordable
- beverages: martinis, draft beer, coffee coffee coffee
by making our journey public, we are holding ourselves and northeast ohio accountable, as we are determined to have more fun for less money, and keep our investment local. we welcome your comments, suggestions, and criticisms if you must.
